Short answer: inRoute is a smart route planner for road trips and drivers on Apple devices, known for showing the weather along your route. MyWay is a route planner for work — deliveries, sales visits, service calls — on iPhone, Android and the web. inRoute is a little cheaper; MyWay plans bigger routes and adds what a working day needs: proof of delivery and time windows. inRoute has no team product; MyWay Teams — our dispatch version with live driver tracking — is coming soon. And you feel the difference the moment you open the app: inRoute’s interface is dated and complex next to MyWay’s modern, simple one.
Key differences
Solo drivers: inRoute vs MyWay Route Planner
- Price. inRoute Pro costs $5.99 a month or $59.99 a year. MyWay Pro costs $9.99 a month and the yearly Expert plan $79.99. inRoute is cheaper — here is what MyWay gives you for the difference.
- Route size. MyWay plans up to 200 stops per route today, and 500 stops per route is coming soon. inRoute Pro stops at 150.
- Proof of delivery and time windows. MyWay includes photo proof of delivery on every plan, even the free one, and respects time windows. inRoute does not list either.
- The free plan. MyWay’s free plan plans routes of up to 15 stops; inRoute Basic stops at 8.
- Platforms. inRoute runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac and CarPlay — there is no Android version. MyWay runs on iPhone, Android and the web, so a mixed team can use it.
- Weather. inRoute Pro shows temperature, rain and wind along the route and warns about severe weather in some regions. MyWay does not show weather.
- When Pro lapses, your routes lock. inRoute’s help says saved routes over the free 8-stop limit can’t be edited, optimized or navigated once Pro ends. On the free plan, any import is capped at 8 places, and even on Pro a spreadsheet import stops at 150.
- No stop status. inRoute has no stop status beyond skipping a stop while you navigate. On MyWay you close every stop as you go and keep photo proof of it.
- Interface. In our view inRoute’s interface shows its age: lots of settings and panels packed onto small screens. MyWay is modern and simple: the next stop and the next action are always on screen.
Teams: inRoute vs MyWay Teams
- inRoute has no team product. Pro for Families shares one subscription with up to 6 people through Apple Family Sharing, and Pro can export a route as a GPX file — but there is no dispatch and no tracking.
- MyWay Teams is coming soon — a web dashboard for dispatchers and live driver tracking.
- Until then, MyWay keeps a team simple: every driver uses MyWay Route Planner Pro at $9.99 a month, on iPhone or Android.
Features
inRoute
inRoute optimizes routes of up to 150 stops, imports addresses from XLSX, CSV, TXT, GPX and KML files and scans a single address with the camera. Its signature feature is weather: charts of temperature, humidity, rain and wind along the way, and severe-weather alerts while you navigate. It is a great fit for anyone who plans routes with the weather in mind.

inRoute
MyWay Route Planner and MyWay Teams
MyWay Route Planner covers the whole working day of a driver who plans their own route. Add stops by typing, by importing a CSV or Excel file, or by taking a photo of your list. Give each stop the details you need — an apartment number, a colour, a contact to call on arrival — with customizable stop fields. MyWay tries thousands of stop orders to find the fastest one, respects time windows and priorities, and can avoid U-turns or account for the size of your vehicle. Proof of delivery is included on every plan, even the free one.
This is where the difference shows on a real route. inRoute helps you plan a drive; MyWay helps you get through a working day of stops — and proves every delivery at the door. MyWay Teams, coming soon, adds the dispatcher’s side: a web dashboard and live tracking of every driver.

MyWay Route Planner
Ease of use
In our view inRoute’s interface shows its age. Many settings and panels are packed into small screens; it is made for planning a trip at leisure, not for working through a list of stops.
MyWay is built for speed on the road. The important information stays on screen, everything else is one tap away, and adding or closing a stop takes a second. A second here, half a second there: on a route with hundreds of stops, that saves 3–5 minutes every day.
