Short answer: OptimoRoute is a web-based route planner for companies with a fleet of drivers; MyWay is a route planner for the driver, with a team product coming. A solo driver gets the most from MyWay Route Planner — $9.99 a month, against OptimoRoute’s $39 to $49 per driver. OptimoRoute has no plan for one driver. For teams, OptimoRoute is available today, priced per driver; MyWay Teams — our dispatch version with live driver tracking — is coming soon. And you feel the difference the moment you open the app: OptimoRoute’s interface is dated and complex next to MyWay’s modern, simple one.
Key differences
Solo drivers: OptimoRoute vs MyWay Route Planner
- OptimoRoute has no solo plan. It is priced per driver, from $39 a month ($35.10 on annual billing), and built for a dispatcher who plans routes on the web for a fleet.
- MyWay is built for the person behind the wheel. Plan, optimize and drive in one app: free for routes of up to 15 stops, $9.99 a month for up to 200 stops, and 500 stops per route is coming soon.
- Proof of delivery. MyWay includes photo proof on every plan, even the free one. OptimoRoute includes it from Pro, $49 a month per driver.
- Free plan. MyWay has one; OptimoRoute offers a 30-day free trial, without a credit card.
- Interface. OptimoRoute’s planner is complex office software, and its driver app is rated 3.3 out of 5 in both stores. MyWay is modern and simple, built for the driver first.
Teams: OptimoRoute vs MyWay Teams
- OptimoRoute is available today, but Lite leaves out the basics. Lite costs $39 per driver a month and plans up to 700 orders at once — with no proof of delivery, no analytics and no customer notifications. Those start with Pro at $49 per driver; pickup and delivery, multi-day routes and truck routing need the Custom plan.
- You pay for every driver you plan. OptimoRoute bills each driver planned during the month, drivers can’t share one app activation, and SMS to customers needs prepaid credits. Live tracking comes with every plan, there is no contract, and annual billing saves 10%. Pickup and delivery pairs are a beta feature of the Custom plan.
- MyWay Teams is coming soon — a web dashboard for dispatchers and live driver tracking.
- Until then, MyWay keeps a team simple: every driver uses MyWay Route Planner Pro at $9.99 a month, with proof of delivery already in the app.
Features
OptimoRoute
OptimoRoute plans routes for the whole fleet in the browser. You drag in a CSV, TXT or Excel file, set priorities and time windows, and send the routes to the OptimoRoute Driver app or by email. Dispatchers follow drivers live, and on Pro customers get SMS or email updates and drivers collect signatures, photos and notes.

OptimoRoute
MyWay Route Planner and MyWay Teams
MyWay Route Planner covers the whole working day of a driver who plans their own route. Add stops by typing, by importing a CSV or Excel file, or by taking a photo of your list. Give each stop the details you need — an apartment number, a colour, a contact to call on arrival — with customizable stop fields. MyWay tries thousands of stop orders to find the fastest one, respects time windows and priorities, and can avoid U-turns or account for the size of your vehicle. Proof of delivery is included on every plan, even the free one.
This is where the difference shows on a real route. With OptimoRoute the plan comes from the office; with MyWay the driver plans and re-plans in the van, in seconds, when the day changes — and pays a fraction of the price. MyWay Teams, coming soon, adds the dispatcher’s side: a web dashboard and live tracking of every driver.

MyWay Route Planner
Ease of use
OptimoRoute is complex office software. In our experience it takes a dispatcher time to learn, and the driver app is the weaker part — its store ratings are 3.3 out of 5.
MyWay is built for speed on the road. The important information stays on screen, everything else is one tap away, and adding or closing a stop takes a second. A second here, half a second there: on a route with hundreds of stops, that saves 3–5 minutes every day.
